Real Estate Disputes

Reports to: 
Senior Associate

Purpose of job
Providing support to the Real Estate Dispute team including reporting to clients, drafting from precedent documents and project specific work.

This is a great opportunity for a Paralegal to build up their knowledge and experience as well as further develop their commercial skills and awareness. 
The  project on which you will initially work is for one of the UK’s major developers and it will give you the opportunity for client contact as well as developing skills in management of documentation and time. 
There will also be opportunities to work on other projects within the team as time goes on.

Key responsibilities:  
Assisting with the production and service of notices and recording of progress.
Assisting  with post-completion tasks, including checking registrations and bibling.
Organising checklists liaising with external client advisers and fee-earners
Drafting from precedent documents and updating knowhow where appropriate.

Experience and knowledge 
Minimum of 3 A Levels (or equivalent) at grade B or above 
Law degree (minimum of 2.1) or GDL 
Proven track record of understanding the importance of excellent service delivery to clients 
Previous transactional experience as a Paralegal 
Skills and competencies 
Organised with a strong ‘can-do’ attitude
Strong client relationship and influencing skills 
Excellent verbal and written communication skills 
Strong IT skills
Determination to complete work to the highest quality with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
Strong attention to deal 
Calm under pressure
Ability and willingness to turn work around quickly and sometimes work outside of standard hours
