Job Description

We have a fantastic opportunity for a Paralegal to join our Construction department in the Gatwick office.

Working as a Paralegal within this well-respected team, you'll provide preliminary advice and guidance to clients well as preparing letters and document. The Construction team handles both contentious and non-contentious work. On the contentious side, you'll assist with preparing bundles, drafting statements of case and researching legal arguments and principals for adjudications. On the non-contentious side, your role will involve assisting with reviewing and drafting construction contracts (using both Irwin Mitchell precedents and standard form industry contracts), drafting schedules of amendments to standard form contracts, reviewing and drafting appointments and warranties, and researching case law updates for presentations and articles.

You'll need to be a confident communicator with rounded client service skills as well as being able to work accurately in a fast-paced environment. Previous legal experience would be beneficial and ideally, you will have completed the LPC although this is not essential.
