Permanent Paralegal

Job Description

Our independently recognised leading Real Estate Disputes Resolution team is proud of its ranking as Band 1 National Leaders outside London.

As one of the largest Real Estate Disputes Teams in the UK, with a proven track record in Court, as well as at mediation and arbitration, the team's expertise encompasses all aspects of Commercial, Residential and Agricultural Property Disputes.

Partner, James Rees, now has an exciting opportunity for a Paralegal to join the team in Bristol.

What will you be doing?

You'll play an important role assisting our lawyers in a wide range of contentious commercial property matters, including landlord and tenant (e.g. 1954 Act renewals, dilapidations and break notices) and general property issues such as adverse possession, easements and title disputes.  You'll draft correspondence, assist with disclosure documents, conduct legal research and monitor key dates.  There'll also be plenty of opportunity for regular client contact to enhance your communication and relationship building skills.

So what does the ideal candidate look like?

Ideally you'll have already completed your legal education including your Legal Practice Course. Previous experience within real estate and/or litigation would be helpful, but by no means essential. What's more important is that you're highly organised, efficient and able to prioritise effectively as we often work to tight and urgent court deadlines.  In this client facing role, you'll also need to be able to build and maintain strong relationships.

So what makes it so great to work here?

The team is extremely busy so you'll be able to get stuck into great quality client work immediately.  You'll be supported by a collegiate approach and a firm wide commitment to development.

In addition, through our D&I practices and programmes we work hard to ensure that difference is visibly valued and welcomed. Visit our D&I page to find out more.

Alongside a competitive salary you'll receive a flexible benefits package so you can pick and choose between the benefits that matter most to you.
