Permanent Paralegal

Job Description

The Role

Working as a Paralegal within the London Employment team, you'll work on an interesting and diverse caseload. Ideally, you'll be able to speak English, French and German fluently as the team is recognised for its commercial advice and work across other countries including France and Germany. You'll work with the support of more senior team members to represent employers and senior executives in claims brought before employment tribunals and courts.

Within the role, you'll have exposure to complex and interesting employment cases working alongside and in close contact with partners. You will ideally have relevant experience in a similar role but most importantly will be ambitious, driven and willing to learn. You will draw upon your experience of handling your own caseload, time recording and fee earning targets, to support the team with all manner of employment work.

Given the nature of the role and the emphasis that Irwin Mitchell places on excellent client service, the ideal candidate will be an exceptional communicator with the ability to build good working relationships with both clients and colleagues over the phone and face-to-face. Your role will require you to work collaboratively with other team members; supporting when priorities change and remaining professional in a sometimes pressurised and challenging environment.

Preference will be given to candidates who have previous casework experience, ideally in employment law and fluency in German and/or French. If this sounds like the perfect opportunity for you, then please apply.

The Benefits

In addition to your basic salary we have a competitive benefits package including pension, critical illness cover, health cash plan, death in service, discounted legal services, 25 days hols (this increases with length of service), discounted online shopping, discounted gym memberships and season ticket loans.
