Job Description

The role

We are looking to recruit a talented paralegal to assist our highly regarded Private Client team in estate administration work. The ideal candidate should have previous experience of probate work. They must be able to demonstrate excellent communication and organisation skills as the role will involve regular contact with clients over the telephone.

Tasks and responsibilities
  • Handling the administration of estates
  • Liaising with Personal Representatives, ascertaining the assets and liabilities of the estate
  • Assisting with new enquiries, speaking to clients and dealing with queries.
  • Supporting fee earners in preparing Estate Accounts and making applications for the Grant
Technical skills/experience
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills with some previous experience of drafting and researching
  • Effective management of client expectations
  • Good organisational skills, record keeping and file management
  • Advanced IT skills with a good working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Outlook
  • Advanced touch typing preferable
  • Capable of taking direction from senior members of the team, with an enthusiasm to learn
  • Willingness to get involved and act as a team player on client matters and provide general departmental support
  • An organised and accurate approach to work
  • ILEX qualification is desirable but not essential for this role

Core Hours 

  • 09:30 to 17:30 with occasional overtime.
