Job Description

Purpose of Role

To onboard new customers and assist in the progression of a caseload of non-injury, non-litigated claims for the recovery of uninsured losses following a road traffic accident. You will also represent DLG Legal Services in the conduct of client matters in utilising the prescribed processes in a professional manner.

Key Accountabilities

  • Converting client referral into a customer
  • Manage a client’s claim as part of a team by continually utilising the firms prescribed processes and accurately documenting each activity that has taken place.
  • Provide clear and correct information in a user friendly manner whilst proactively managing the Client’s expectations.
  • Manage cases effectively, as part of a team, making sure that client work is progressed efficiently to meet team targets and Service Level Agreements and the client is kept proactively informed where appropriate.
  • Incoming post should be reviewed daily by the allocated team member and responded to promptly. 
  • Referring clients to Customer Liaison Injury.
  • Report to a team leader any potential conflicts, complaints and potential acts of negligence, demonstrate a highly professional manner and reflect the brand image and customer ethos of DLG Legal Services
  • Work together with colleagues to build relationships with other departments and suppliers.  

Key Skills

  • Claims Handler and/or telephone sales experience
  • Previous experience of RTA claims handling within an insurance company or law firm environment is useful but not required.
  • General familiarity of the process of handling road traffic accident claims
  • Experience with a legal Case Management System or equivalent IT system
  • Ability to communicate effectively by using both telephone and written communication
  • Proven track record of achieving targets

Hours: 35 hours per week, Monday - Friday 9am-5pm
