Permanent Paralegal

Job Description

As a junior team member under direct supervision, the Paralegal will assist in case processing (reviewing and preparing forms, support letters and Firm correspondence) and assist in the maintenance of case files within the team. They will help maintain a moderate level of cases under supervision.


The Paralegal  will be required to perform all or a combination of the following essential functions as determined by business necessity:

Case Work       

  • Act as caseworker as required on less complex cases
  • Support Paralegal/Senior paralegals with the progression of more complex cases
  • Draft applications
  • Prepare initial draft communication to clients as directed by Senior Paralegals and Associates
  • File applications with government agency
  • Prepare files for billing

Client Support

  • Maintain client contact information
  • Provide simple status updates

Administrative Support   

  • File documents in proper order
  • Extract data in accurate manner
  • Responsible for pre invoice notes and updating flexfields

Other duties as assigned

  • Contributes to the Firm’s overall initiative to consistently improve its image internally and externally.  Displays professionalism, quality service and a “can do” attitude to internal members/departments of the Firm as well as external clients and vendors via electronic and print correspondence, of the telephone and in person.
