A vacancy has arisen in our team providing paralegal support to our Fee Earners on complex matters. This is a varied role in a fast moving team and the successful candidate will be prepared to pitch in when needed and juggle a busy caseload. This role requires a highly competent paralegal, with a professional and organised approach to their work.

Key accountabilities

  • Drafting legal documents e.g. orders and applications and basic legal correspondence
  • Legal research and drafting memoranda of advice for other fee-earners and clients
  • Creating and copying court/working bundles
  • Preparing court documents including witness statements and pulling exhibits
  • Court clerking, liaising with counsels' clerks, clients and third parties
  • Amending, scanning and sending letters including track changes and versions
  • Coordinating timetables including diarising court timetables and keeping fee earners updated in relation to upcoming deadlines and sending reminders to the team
  • Media monitoring/evidence gathering - researching media, social media and other online sources under direction

Key requirements

  • 2.1 in undergraduate degree
  • Previous paralegal experience a plus, ideally in Corporate or Litigation
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Completion of LPC at merit or distinction preferable
